Art Events

Festivals are a great place to meet your neighbors, enjoy multicultural music and dance, and create art with your family.

Our Multicultural Children's Art Program hosts free festivals in celebration of the Richmond District's many cultural assets. We hope to see you and your family at our next event:

Lunar New Year Celebration (January/February) rings in the New Year by featuring a traditional Lion Dance and snacks for all ages.

Earth Day Festival (April) promotes environmental education, recycling, composting, and healthy living through hands-on art activities and lively presentations by local environmental organizations.

Multicultural Children's Arts Fair (June) showcases art created by youth, as well as artist-led activities and three hours of multicultural performances by African, Asian, Polynesian, Persian, Mexican, and Native American dance groups.

Harvest Festival (October) celebrates the fall harvest, Day of the Dead, and Halloween in one event. The festival includes a haunted house, pumpkin carving, ghost stories, costume making, and other hands-on arts and crafts.
